Meet the Creator

A.K. Smith is an award-winning author who calls the magical shores of the Sea of Cortez home. Inspired by the real-life bioluminescent waters and the magical Sea of Cortez, she created Glowy the Fish to help the next generation of kind kids shine bright.

With a Master’s degree in Higher Education/Student Development, A.K. combines her educational background with her love for storytelling to create screen-free fun that fosters courage and kindness. When she isn’t writing, she is likely exploring the beach with her husband and their dog, Levi.
